Consuming the DASH diet can control blood pressure levels.</p> <p><strong> Research objectives: </strong>To study the effects of the Kindee Youyaow application to promote DASH dietary behavior and control blood pressure in patients with hypertension</p> <p><strong> Research methodology:</strong> This study was a Quasi - experimental research conducting with one group pretest and posttest designs. Sample size by G*power analysis. Conduct research 30 patients with uncontrolled hypertension attending the Hypertension Clinic of Sungmen Hospital. The participants were joined with Kindee Youyaow application for facilitating and sharing experiences and information. The DASH program was advised the dietary control applying with self-management theory (Creer, 2000). The data analysis involved descriptive statistics, Paired T-test and Wilcoxon signed-rank test statistics. </p> <p><strong>Results: </strong>To conclusion, The sample group of 30 people,most of whom were female. The average age is = 64.79, SD ± 11.88. Discharge planning can help patients develop appropriate self-care behaviors after discharge from the hospital.</p> <p><strong>Objective: </strong>To investigate the effects of discharge planning on self-care behavior and infection rates in percutaneous nephrostomy patients.</p> <p><strong>Research Methodology: </strong>This study was quasi-experimental research with a 2-group design with post-test measurements.&nbsp; The sample was randomly selected into a control group and an experimental group of 16 participants each. &nbsp;The research instruments consisted of a lesson plan for providing self-care advice, a self-care guide, a self-care behavior questionnaire, and an infection record form.&nbsp; The data were analyzed by using Fisher's exact test and Mann-Whitney U test statistics.</p> <p><strong>Findings: </strong>The self-care behavior scores of the percutaneous nephrostomy patients in the experimental group were higher than the patients in the control group with statistical significance at .001.&nbsp; Furthermore, the experimental group had an infection rate of 6.25, which was significantly lower than the control group with an infection rate of 56.25%, with statistical significance at .01.Clearly, therefore, discharge planning improved the self-care behavior of the percutaneous nephrostomy patients and can reduce urinary tract infection rates.</p> <p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>&nbsp;Discharge planning promotes better self-care behavior and reduces infection rates in in percutaneous nephrostomy patients this group of patients.</p> <p><strong>Recommendations: </strong>The findings can be implemented in the care of percutaneous nephrostomy patients.</p> <p><strong>Keywords:&nbsp; </strong>discharge planning, self-care behavior, percutaneous nephrostomy patients</p> 2024-12-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Boromarajonani College of Nursing Udonthani https://he02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/NHEJ/article/view/271071 Sleep quality and factors related to sleep quality of nursing students 2024-11-16T17:30:46+07:00 Sudkanya Pancharern sudkanya@bcnsprnw.ac.th Phontanawat Yimsiriwatthana 64106301052@bcnsprnw.ac.th Nichaphat Kongsuwan 64106301025@bcnsprnw.ac.th Nonglak Tawarungrueang 64106301034@bcnsprnw.ac.th Phrmphon Laithong 64106301051@bcnsprnw.ac.th สกุลรัตน์ ศิริกุล sakulrat@bcnsprnw.ac.th <p><strong>Introduction</strong>: Good sleep quality in nursing students will improve their analytical thinking, performance, learning processes, and efficiency.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>: To examine sleep quality and factors related to sleep quality in nursing students at Boromarajonani College of Nursing Sawanpracharak Nakhonsawan.</p> <p><strong>Research methodology</strong>: The sample consisted of 268 students from the Bachelor of Nursing Program in the 1st-4<sup>th</sup> year of the academic year 2024 by stratified random sampling. Data were collected by questionnaires consisting of personal data, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Questionnaire, Stress Questionnaire, Perceived Environmental Disturbances Questionnaire, Sleep Habits Questionnaire, Social Media Use Questionnaire, and Workload Questionnaire. The content validity of the instruments was tested by experts and the reliability was tested by Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient with reliability values ​​of .80, .80, .82, .83, .83, and .81, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman rank correlation.</p> <p><strong>Results</strong>: Results revealed that the sample was female (93.3%), 28.0% were in their first year, had a GPA between 3.01-3.50 (32.10%), and reported poor sleep quality of 52.40%. The significant factors related to sleep quality were stress, perception of environmental disturbance, social media use, workload, and sleep habits There was a statistically significant relationship with sleep quality (rs = .467 p &lt; .001; rs = .254 p &lt; .001; rs = .238 p &lt; .001; rs = .294 p &lt; .001; rs = .361 p &lt; .001, respectively). The research instrument was the nursing practice guidelines for the care of patients with hemorrhagic stroke who received non-surgical treatment. The instruments used to collect data for patients consisted of 4 sets: a personal data record form, a screening form for the severity of hemorrhagic stroke, a modified Rankin scale, and an increased intracranial pressure assessment form. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics: chi-squared test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, and repeated measure ANOVA. The results of the research found that after using the nursing practice guidelines, systolic blood pressure could be reduced significantly after 1 hour and 24 hours of admission. The incidence of intracranial hypertension and mortality were also significantly reduced. The results of the study showed that the developed nursing practice guidelines were effective in controlling blood pressure and reducing major complications in patients with cerebral infarction. They can be applied as care for this patient group in the intensive care unit to further improve nursing quality and clinical outcomes.</p> 2024-12-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Boromarajonani College of Nursing Udonthani https://he02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/NHEJ/article/view/272316 Effectiveness of an educational program on blood sugar control behaviors and blood sugar levels of women with gestational diabetes at the antenatal clinic, Udon Thani Hospital 2024-12-07T22:15:53+07:00 Supichchanan Muanglao sumuang2024@gmail.com Sunanta Shinohara horunsununta@gmail.com Jittanun Srisuwan sri.jittanun@bcnu.ac.th <p><strong>Introduction:</strong> Appropriate education will help increase confidence and skills in managing gestational diabetes mellitus, which will positively affect the mother's mental health and overall quality of life.</p> <p><strong>Research objectives: </strong>To study the effectiveness of an educational program on blood sugar control behaviors and blood sugar levels among women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).</p> <p><strong>Research methodology:</strong> Forty pregnant women with GDM from Udon Thani Hospital's antenatal clinic participated in a four-week educational program based on Orem's self-care theory. Data collection included questionnaires on self-care knowledge and behaviors, plus clinical measurements of FBS and HbA1C. The program delivered three educational sessions, with data analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired t-test.</p> <p><strong>Results: </strong>Results showed that after participating in the program, participants' mean knowledge scores increased significantly from 12.9 to 18.4 (p&lt;.001), and self-care behavior scores improved from 50.2 to 58.3 (p&lt;.001). The population and sample consist of Village Health Volunteers in the Service Area of Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province a total of 124 people.<strong>&nbsp; </strong></p> <p><strong>Research Results: </strong></p> <p>Personal factor: It was that female 85.5% ages most of whom were between&nbsp; 60-69 years old <strong>&nbsp;</strong>37.90% The majority had completed primary education 53.20% &nbsp;were married 53.20%&nbsp; The duration of being a Village Health Volunteer for 11-20 years 26.61% Additionally, 75% had a chronic illness.
