For quantitative research, a questionnaire was used with 188 Thai footballers in Thai League 1, surveying need level and comparison of need level divided by service usage and types of operation. For analysis, means, standard deviation, and t-test were employed in determining the value using the variance of 0.05. For qualitative research, in - depth interviews were conducted with three Thai footballers who experienced to hire sports agents and were qualified according to established requirements. The research result showed that the need level of Thai Football League players in the selection of sports agent services (Contracts and laws, new opportunities in talent acquisition, qualifications of the agents and sports marketing) were important at an average level. However, the need level of general management and financial management was moderately important. The comparison of need level divided by service usage was significantly different. However, only the qualifications of the agents were not significantly different. The comparison of need level divided by the types of operation need levels of Qualifications of the agents, financial management and sports marketing were significantly different. The rest of the three services were not significantly different. Important sports agent services guidelines were as follows: (1) making connections and maintaining reputation because they affect the footballer’s opportunity, (2) solving all problems: Footballers would be able to focus on their careers, (3) tax management and tax deduction, (4) building fan club through all media especially by social media, (5) basic knowledge of law related to sports, employment contact rules and having legal advisor, (6) clear understanding of needs of footballers and studying club’s needs and playing styles to be able to match their needs.</p> ER -
