Therefore, the purpose of this study was to study the effects of balance training and leg muscle strength training on walking speed in individuals with chronic ankle instability. This research is an experimental study. Sixteen of male participants had a history of chronic ankle instability, were aged between 18 and 21 with the Thai version 2013 Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool (CAIT) score of less than 27 and had no history of ankle sprain within 6 weeks of research participation. They were simple randomized, as well as divided into two experimental groups: the balance training and strength training groups; Research tools were 1) record sheet, 2) Cumberland ankle instability tool (CAIT), 3) Star excursion balance test, 4) Electromyography (EMG), 5) balance board (Kinematic measurement system (KMS) balance and stability test), and 6) Kinematic measurement system (KMS) walking test). All participants were assigned to test muscle function, walking speed, and balance using the star excursion balance test (SEBT) pre-training and post-6 weeks of program training in both experimental groups. Data were analyzed by paired t - test.

The results showed that posterior lateral SEBT tests in weeks 6, and balance tests while closing their eyes in Week 6, had statistically significant increases in both the balance training group and the strength training group (p<0.05). However, only the strength training group showed an improvement in the posterior medial SEBT test (p<0.05). Additionally, the CAIT assessment results improved in both groups with statistical significance (p<0.05) in Weeks 6. The walking speed cannot be increased in both.

Conclusion, the balance training and leg muscle strength training probably help to increase balance of people with chronic ankle instability. Even when practicing only one program but still unable to increase walking speed.
2025-01-26T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Thailand National Sports University https://he02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/TNSUJournal/article/view/266418 LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND FACTORS THAT INFLUENCED ON LEARNING BADMINTON THROUGH TACTICAL GAME APPROACH TEACHING 2024-01-17T10:38:51+07:00 Kasemsan Panitcharoen rapeepat@buu.ac.th Raphiphat Dueanphensi rapeepat@buu.ac.th Prateep Poonwatana rapeepat@buu.ac.th Kritsada Surumpai rapeepat@buu.ac.th
The objective of this qualitative research is to study the experiences and factors influencing the impact on the learning badminton through tactical game approach teaching. This phenomenological case study explores the experiences of ten professional African football migrants who retired in Thailand. It examines their reasons for retiring abroad, the legal and structural barriers they encounter, and mental health challenges faced during the integration process. Data for the study was gathered through semi-structured interviews with both retired African players and those in the retirement process, all holding permanent residency in Thailand.

The study underscores the time-consuming nature of cultural adjustment and integration for sports migrants, with language barriers, cultural disparities, and social adaptation posing significant challenges. Retired athletes, especially, face concerns regarding access to healthcare, insurance coverage, and specialized medical care. These issues are particularly pronounced for African sports migrants in Thailand, who also grapple with legal and immigration matters such as visa regulations and work permits. Despite these challenges, the African community in Thailand provides vital social support networks, fostering a sense of belonging and mitigating psychological stressors associated with retirement and life in a new country. However, retired athletes encounter obstacles in obtaining legal residency, with age restrictions for retirement visas which limits employment opportunities. The paper concludes with policy recommendations for local stakeholders supporting migrant players as they transition out of professional sport.
2025-01-26T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Thailand National Sports University https://he02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/TNSUJournal/article/view/267473 LOW CARBON CONCEPT FOR SUSTAINABLE TOURISM MANAGEMENT 2024-02-05T10:58:26+07:00 Kanyarat Sirirat kanyarat_sir@nstru.ac.th Weena Sumbandit journalipe@hotmail.com Pattarapon Mahakhan journalipe@hotmail.com
Sustainable tourism is the principle of management aligned with sustainable development goals.
