Autotransplantation of Third Molars with Complete Root Formation: Report of Two Cases

Autotransplantation is a method to replace missing teeth using their own teeth. This report described a successful autotransplantation of third molars with complete root formation after 1 year follow up period in 2 patients. One was transplanted into the lower right first molar area while the other was transplanted into the upper left second molar area. Autotransplantation can be successful by careful patient evaluation and preparation, surgical procedure and periodic continuous postoperative care.
