Local hernia repair is one of the recommendations in surgical practice. This study aims to report the outcome of local anesthesia inguinal hernia repair at Ao-Luk Community Hospital.</p><p><strong>Methods:</strong> The study used medical records from 52 patients who had inguinal hernia surgery under local anesthesia at Ao-Luk Community Hospital in Krabi Province between 2017 and 2021.The following is a list of the data gathered: the patient’s general features, pre-operative and post-operative medication, surgery duration, pain score (numeric rating scale), and complications during or after the operation.</p><p><strong>Result:</strong> The average pain score (Numeric Rating Scale) during the operation was 0.48, and post-operation was 1.63. The average mean operative time was 40.38 (25 – 70) minutes. All patients were successful in the operation. One patient had a hematoma under the surgical field, while another patient got a recurrent inguinal hernia from underling COPD.</p><p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> With the appropriate patient selection and experience of the surgeons, inguinal hernia repair can be done successfully under the local anesthesia technique with a good outcome.</p> ER -
