Methods: The participants included 130 patients with acute leukemia undergoing chemotherapy. Data were collected from July 2018 to July 2019. The instruments used to collect the data included: 1) a demographic data form; 2) a biological function form; 3) the M.D. Anderson Symptom Inventory (MDASI)-AML/MDS include severity and interference was used to test the stability which yielded 0.82 for severity, and 0.85 for interference; 4) the Inventory of Functional Status-Cancer (IFS–CA) tested for internal consistency reliability using Cronbach’s alpha coefficients, and yielded 0.87; and 5) the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Leukemia (Version 4) tested for internal consistency reliability using Cronbach’s alpha coefficients, and yielded 0.86. Results: The multiple regression analysis with enter method revealed that all of the independent variables jointly explained 72.10% of the variance in the patient’s quality of life with a statistical significance (R2 = .721, p &lt; .01). Discussion: The findings of this study can be used in planning for the better quality of life of patients with acute leukemia undergoing chemotherapy, especially in terms of managing symptom severity and symptom interference, as well as promoting their functional status.</p> ER -
