Announcements: Important Announcement: RMJ Title Update

We are excited to announce that the Ramathibodi Medical Journal will officially change its title to the Research Medical Journal (RMJ).

This transition will take effect beginning with Volume 49, Number 1 (2026).

While the journal’s name is changing, the well-established abbreviation RMJ will remain unchanged, preserving its legacy and recognition within academic and clinical communities.

The new title reflects our expanded scope, renewed commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in the medical sciences, and a strategic vision to expand RMJ’s reach to global audiences. RMJ will continue to serve as a reliable platform for disseminating high-quality research in the following areas:

- Clinical and translational research
- Basic medical sciences
- Public health and epidemiology
- Medical education

This change will better represent the diverse contributions of our authors and foster deeper engagement across disciplines. RMJ remains committed to maintaining rigorous editorial standards, ethical publishing practices, and facilitating the global exchange of impactful medical knowledge.

Announcements: Important Update: Submission Policy Change for Ramathibodi Medical Journal (RMJ)

This announcement is to inform you of an important update regarding the submission policy of the Ramathibodi Medical Journal (RMJ). Effective 1 May 2025, the journal will no longer accept manuscripts written in Thai. From this date onward, we will only consider manuscripts written in English for submission and publication.

Please note that all manuscripts submitted in Thai will still undergo peer review and will be processed for publication by the end of 2025. Starting from January 2026, RMJ will exclusively publish articles in English.

This significant change reflects our aim to expand RMJ's global reach and enhance its accessibility to the international academic community.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued contributions to RMJ. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please contact our editorial office.

We are pleased to announce an essential update to our journal's copyright policy. Starting in 2025, we will transition from the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND) license to the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

This digital shift aligns with global efforts to reduce our ecological footprint by minimizing the use of natural resources. By eliminating paper-based publishing, we aim to contribute to the campaign of saving the Earth and promoting a greener future.

Announcements: Thank You and the New Editor in Chief Announcement

We are grateful to Dr. Chusak Okascharoen, the former editor-in-chief, for his outstanding and devoted services during the past 8 full years (2016 - 2023) in advancing the Ramathibodi Medical Journal to a higher quality and standard. He has achieved remarkable milestones, such as getting the journal into the TCI database and enhancing the peer-review process. We also want to express our appreciation to all authors, reviewers, editorial board members, readers, and journal staff for their valuable contributions and continued support of the journal.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Theerapong Krajaejun has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief of our journal, effective from 2024. Dr. Krajaejun is a professor of clinical pathology who also serves as an academic editor of PLOS ONE and PeerJ and a reviewer of many indexed international journals. He will work with us to ensure that the Ramathibodi Medical Journal remains an excellent platform for publishing and disseminating high-quality, updated, and innovative information to a broad audience in the science and medicine community.
