เส้นทางสู่นักกีฬาชั้นยอด: พรสวรรค์และการค้นหานักกีฬาที่มีความสามารถพิเศษ

บทคัดย่อ

การก้าวสู่การเป็นนักกีฬาระดับสูงนั้นอาศัยกระบวนการที่นักกีฬาต้องใช้ความพยายามทั้งทางด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ และการวางแผนระยะยาวที่ดี จะเห็นได้ว่าการฝึกซ้อมอย่างเป็นรูปแบบนั้นเป็นสิ่งสำคัญในการพัฒนานักกีฬา เพราะฉะนั้นในการพัฒนาศักยภาพสูงสุดของนักกีฬาให้ประสบความสำเร็จ จะต้องอาศัยองค์ประกอบหลายๆ ด้าน การฝึกเพียงทักษะหรือเทคนิคอย่างเดียวคงไม่เพียงพอ โดยจะต้องผ่านกระบวนการฝึกซ้อมที่ถูกต้อง และเหมาะสมเพื่อให้การฝึกซ้อมนั้นมีคุณภาพด้วย การฝึกซ้อมกีฬาเป็นกระบวนการที่จะต้องกระทำอย่างต่อเนื่อง เป็นระบบแบบแผนมีจุดประสงค์ที่ชัดเจนสามารถติดตามประเมินผลได้ เพื่อพัฒนานักกีฬาให้มีขีดความสามารถสูงสุดตามลำดับ กระนั้นเองปัจจัยด้านพันธุกรรมที่สัมพันธ์กับพรสวรรค์ของนักกีฬา และคุณลักษณะทางกายภาพที่มีมาแต่กำเนิดก็มีบทบาทสำคัญเช่นกัน กีฬาบางชนิดต้องมีลักษณะทางกายภาพที่เฉพาะเจาะจง เช่น ความสูง ความแข็งแกร่ง หรือความอดทน เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้การคัดเลือกนักกีฬาที่มีความสามารถพิเศษก็เป็นขั้นตอนหนึ่งของการได้มาซึ่งนักกีฬาที่มีความสามารถสูงโดยอาศัยตัวบ่งชี้ด้านต่างๆ เป็นองค์ประกอบในการพิจารณา แล้วนำมาเข้าสู่กระบวนการฝึกซ้อมอย่างเป็นระบบและถูกต้องก็จะช่วยการพัฒนานักกีฬาระยะยาวนั้นเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ตลอดจนการคัดเลือกนักกีฬาที่มีความสามารถพิเศษในช่วงเวลาที่เหมาะสม โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งหากค้นพบนักกีฬาที่มีความโดดเด่นในทุกๆ มิติตั้งแต่เด็กก็จะทำให้มีเวลามากขึ้นในการพัฒนานักกีฬาและและปูทางสู่ความสำเร็จในระดับที่สูงมากขึ้น อีกทั้งการพัฒนานักกีฬาในด้านต่างๆ ให้เป็นไปตามช่วงวัย มีคุณลักษณะที่เหมาะสมกับชนิดกีฬาก็ถือได้ว่าเป็นก้าวแรกสู่การเป็นนักกีฬาชั้นยอด เพราะฉะนั้นการค้นหานักกีฬาที่มีความสามารถพิเศษ นับเป็นความท้าทายหนึ่งที่ผู้ฝึกสอนหรือองค์กรด้านการกีฬาจะนำไปเป็นแนวปฏิบัติเพื่อคัดสรรนักกีฬาที่มีแนวโน้มสู่การเป็นนักกีฬาชั้นยอดระดับโลกที่ประสบความสำเร็จต่อไป
