Oral health-related quality of life in zygomatic fracture patients between early and delayed surgical treatment
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to compare the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) between patients with fractured zygoma who received surgery in the early stage and patients who delayed their surgery. Data were collected over a period of 2 years from a total of 40 patients, divided into two groups of 20. The Oral Impacts on Daily Performances (OIDP) questionnaire was used to assess
the impact of oral health on daily activities. It was found that patients who underwent surgery in the 8-14-day range after the incident had a better OHRQoL compared to those who underwent surgery in the 1-7-day range after the incident. This difference was statistically significant during the first week after surgery.
