Furthermore, nurses, who are at the forefront of health care professions in primary care are expected to play a major role in screening and providing nursing intervention effectively to achieve quality of life of older people with dementia and their caregivers. Therefore, this article aims to present knowledge of dementia and palliative treatments to delay deterioration and appropriate nursing care for people with dementia according to the complexity, diversity, and stage, and their contexts which are challenges for nurses.

Keywords: dementia, older people, nursing care
*Nursing instructor, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Chakriraj
ER -
