The sample consisted of 181 nurse practitioners. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire developed by the researcher. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results showed that the sample expressed their performance as nurse practitioners at a high level (= 82.65, SD = .644). Attitude, perception of management policy and relationships with colleagues showed a high positive correlation with nurse practitioners’ role performance (Primary Medical Care) (r = .772, p <.01, r = .689, p <.01, and r = .627, p <.01, respectively). Attitudes and perceptions of management policies and relationships with colleagues could predict the nurse practitioners’ role performance, with a value of 59.6% (R2 = .596) and was statistically significant at p= 0.05 (F = 7.477, p < .001).

These findings suggest that nurse practitioner’s should be supported for continuing professional development to gain higher competencies and skills that help them work effectively and accurately.

Keywords : Nurse practitioners; Basics Medical Care

* Boromarajonani College of Nursing Chon Buri; e-mail : familynursing2526@gmail.com
ER -
