The samples were divided into 2 groups, which are the experimental group and the comparison group and aim was to study the effectiveness of an application by self-efficacy theory and social support in dental caries preventive behavior modification in high school year 5-6 at Nong Sano, Buntharik District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The subjects in this study were grade 5-6 students (The age range in which the tooth decay rate in children is more than 20 percent specified by the Ministry of Public Health) in Nongsa sub-district. No, Buntharik District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. 80 samples were divided experimental group and comparison group and each group were 40 samples. The experimental group was included the activities condition focusing on self-efficacy stimulation for the randomized experimental group. The activities consists of the knowledge about dental caries, creating self-efficacy in dental caries prevention, create expectations for the outcome in dental caries prevention and practicing in dental caries prevention. The comparison group received normal patterns for health education from health officials in the area.  Researchers collected data by using a questionnaires. The statistics were used for data analysis were frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation. Independent t-test and paired samples t-test.
