The subjects were 143 nursing students class 1-3 in semester 3 in Ratchathani University, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The instrument was a questionnaire, divided into five parts, one of which was a test. The reliability of a whole questionnaire was .90. The reliability of a test had Level of Difficult .03 - .75, Discrimnation power .22 - .68 by KR-20. The statistics used included Percentages, Mean, Standard Deviation, Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis.

            The research findings were as follows: Prevention Behaviors from obesity among nursing students in Ratchathani University Ubon Ratchathani Province were rated at high level ( = 2.74, SD=0.64). Four best predictors for the prevention behaviors from obesity among nursing students were support from educational institutions (X8), support from family (X6), Average monthly income (X2) and BMI (X1) altogether these group of predictive variable could predict prevention behaviors from obesity among nursing students with 28.40 percent accuracy (R2 adjust = .26) and the standard error of the estimation of .55.

            Regression equation for prevention behaviors from obesity among nursing students, in the forms of raw score and standard score, were exhibited as follows :

            Raw score :

            Y’ = 1.14 + .34X8 + .22X6  -4.97X2  + .03X1

            Standard score :

            Z = .35Z8  + .24Z6 -.17Z2 + .16Z1

            Suggestion : The results of this research should be used as information for planning health promotion activities, especially obesity prevention behaviors for nursing students who will graduate to become non-obese and healthy nurses.
}, number={1}, journal={UBRU Journal for Public Health Research}, author={Arunphong, Chonthicha and Singsorn, Kittinan and Patthum, Kulthida and Seekabma, Kawkanda and Samanya, Kwanjit and Arbram, Kanthika and Wiyo, Jindarat and Saithanoo, Khanitta and Silaart, Juthamas and Inseemueang, Juraiwan}, year={2022}, month={Jun.}, pages={145–155} }
