The samples were 370 professional nurses in managing the General Hospital with 300 beds or more in five hospitals. The research instrument used was a set of questionnaires with a five-point scale. The content validity was 0.94 and 0.92, respectively. The reliability of each questionnaire in the form of Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.84 and 0.86. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics ( , SD) and inferential statistics with Pearson correlation.</p> <p>The results of the study showed that the mean scores of transformational leadership behavior of the head nurses were based on the perceptions of registered nurses as a whole and were at a high level (= 3.83, SD = .85). While the mean score of the perception of nursing service quality of registered nurses in hospitals under the Ministry of Public Health, Central Region was also at a high-level (= 3.89, SD = .71).  Moreover, it was found that there was a positive relationship (r = .81) between the transformational leadership behaviors of head nurses and nursing quality with a statistical significance level at 0.01. Thus, based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that the top management team should selected head nurses or develop head nurses in general hospitals to have transformational leadership in all aspects in order to improve the quality of nursing services among registered nurses in general hospitals continuously.</p>}, number={2}, journal={Vajira Nursing Journal}, author={boonyakiat, somboon and Sritoomma, Netchanok and Singchungchai, Phechnoy}, year={2021}, month={Dec.}, pages={57–69} }
