การวิจัยเชิงพรรณณาหาความสัมพันธ์นี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับความวิตกกังวลของผู้ป่วยรอปลูกถ่ายไต และศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการปลูกถ่ายไต และการรับรู้การสนับสนุนทางสังคม กับความวิตกกังวล กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้ป่วยโรคไตเรื้อรังอายุ 18 ปีขึ้นไปในเขต 17 จังหวัดภาคเหนือที่ลงทะเบียนรอรับบริจาคไตในหน่วยเปลี่ยนไตและไตเทียม โรงพยาบาลมหาราชนครเชียงใหม่ จำนวน 315 ราย ระหว่างเดือนพฤษภาคม ถึง เดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2565 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบบันทึกข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบวัดความรู้เกี่ยวกับการปลูกถ่ายไต (ค่าความเชื่อมั่น KS-20= .80) แบบสอบถามการรับรู้การสนับสนุนทางสังคม (ค่าความเชื่อมั่น Cronbach's alpha = .94) และแบบวัดความวิตกกังวลของสปิลเบอร์เกอร์ (ค่าความเชื่อมั่น Cronbach's alpha = .91) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และสถิติสหสัมพันธ์สเปียร์แมน
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ความวิตกกังวลของกลุ่มตัวอย่างอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง มีคะแนนเฉลี่ย 53.50 (SD =10.14) ส่วนปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ทางลบกับความวิตกกังวล ได้แก่ เพศ (r = -.12, p < .05) ระดับรายได้ (r = -.12, p < .05) ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการปลูกถ่ายไต (r = -.11, p < .05) และการสนับสนุนทางสังคม (r = -.56, p < .01) ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับความวิตกกังวล คือ ช่วงอายุ (r = .48, p < .01) ผลการวิจัยที่ได้เป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานสำหรับพยาบาลในการเพิ่มความรู้และการสนับสนุนทางสังคมเพื่อลดความวิตกกังวลในผู้ป่วยรอปลูกถ่ายไต
