COVID-19 with Case Investigation and Study of Knowledge, Attitude, Practice in Huayluek Sub-district, Banlat District, Phetchaburi

Abstract

          Investigation teams had notified confirm patient COVID-19 in Banlat hospital since 1 April 2020, that lives in Huayluek sub-district, Banlat district, Phetchaburi. This study required definite diagnosis for COVID-19 and epidemiology. In the order to described characteristic of epidemiology was by confirm case of COVID-19, then we fined closed contact because of prevented situation. We studied in the village of confirm case that included knowledge, attitude and behavior. We took detail of knowledge, attitude and behavior by Structured questionnaire in 155 Sample sized and applied simple random sampling for selected. The utilization recommended to control and prevention. When detected definite patient for SAR-CoV-2 or COVID-19, individual case investigation discovered risk of infected COVID-19 due to preserved area for high risk COVID-19 spreading and unappropriated behavior because unsuitable face mask applied in transportation. Closed contact cases were 10 people, high-risk group 6 people and low-risk 4 people. No detected new patient of COVID-19 this area 14 days. Next, we studied 155 people of COVID-19 detected village, that showed result of the good level knowledges 89.84 % (95% CI = 66.92-70.86), the high attitude of COVID-19 policies, and the appropriate behavior of prevention COVID-19 92.65 % (95% CI = 91.64-93.66). Misunderstand some contents more 30% all had showed, we need made good knowledge of the Kariyat, stop hugging/kissing, contacted face and standing outdoor, finally, inappropriate practices showed about hugging/kissing within families and for face contact.
