Perception of people Regarding the role performance of village health volunteer in Pa Mai Ngam Village, Muang District, Nong bua Lam Phu Province

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study people's perception of the roles and duties of public health volunteers in Pa Mai Ngam Sub-district, Muang District, Nong Bua Lam Phu Province. A total of 375 individuals in responsible positions provided the data. The questionnaires comprised three parts. Descriptive statistics, such as percentage, mean, and standard deviation, were applied to analyze the data. Additionally, t-tests and F-tests were conducted for inferential statistics. The coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.921. The findings are as follows: The overall perception of people regarding the operation by public health volunteers in the villages of Pa Mai Ngam Sub-district, Muang District, Nong Bua Lam Phu Province, was at a high level ( = 3.92, S.D. = 0.50). When considering each aspect, the results found that behavioral adaptation for health by oneself to be a model and the creation of health behavior in the community had the highest average ( = 4.05, S.D. = 0.77), followed by taking care of health assurance benefits and public health of people in the villages ( = 3.96, S.D. = 0.72). Public health service was rated at the least level (self-experience or for the guardian) ( = 3.88, S.D. = 0.72). Furthermore, the results indicated that opinions on working among people of different ages were significantly different. On the other hand, opinions on working among people of different genders, educational levels, and occupations were not significantly different.
