Oral health services at health promoting hospitals in 2014

Abstract
This study aimed to study the oral health services at health promoting hospitals in 2014 in 3 aspects: 1) models of oral health promotion services at health promoting hospitals 2) expenditure of oral health services at health promoting hospitals; and 3) competency of health promoting hospitals and dental nurse in providing oral health services. Data were collected from 2 parts: 1) analysis of oral health services in health promoting hospitals, by health service provider board office and provincial zone, from the annual report of the bureau of inspection and evaluation under the Ministry of public health in 2014 and data from 43 files report; and 2) quantitative study by using 2 sets of custom questionnaires, for dentist and for dental nurse working in health promoting hospitals. The results showed 58.3 per cent of health promoting hospitals provide oral health service 1 day a week, 38.6 per cent could reach the standard of service which is 200 visits per 1,000 population.
