Oral Health Promotion in Senior Clubs in the Eastern Part of Thailand

Abstract
This study was aimed to find out Oral Health Promotion model and factors that motivate senior clubs activities in the eastern part of Thailand. The samples were consisted of 10 senior clubs which were remained oral health promotion activities and an in-depth study in Laem Ngop District of Trat Province. Data were collected by structural and in-depth interview, observation, focus group, group discussion, and questionnaire for oral health promotion activities. The results were found that oral health activities in more than 8 senior clubs were oral health education, oral health screening, learning management, cleansing skill development, cleansing instrument support, campaign and data based building. The key success factors were community strengthening, activities continuing, participation, coordinating and local government support. In conclusion, this study show that oral health promotion is possible to integrate, and moreover, should be developed to be a guideline for oral health promotion in senior clubs.
