Abstract
การแปรงฟันเป็นมาตรการสำคัญ ในการส่งเสริมสุขภาพและป้องกันฟันผุในฟันน้ำนม ร่วมกับมาตรการอื่นๆอันได้แก่ การสร้างความตระหนักรู้และปรับทัศนคติของผู้ปกครองต่อพฤติกรรมการดูแลสุขภาพช่องปากและพฤติกรรมการบริโภคอาหารสำหรับเด็กปฐมวัย การใช้ฟลูออไรด์และการใช้สารปิดหลุมร่องฟันเพื่อความแข็งแรงให้กับตัวฟัน อย่างไรก็ตามการแปรงฟันในเด็กปฐมวัยก็ยังมีอีกหลายประเด็น ที่ควรค่าแก่การทำความเข้าใจให้ถ่องแท้ก่อนที่จะดำเนินการส่งเสริมสุขภาพและป้องกันฟันผุ
