Oral Health Status and Dental Treatment Demand in Elderly.

Abstract

Elderly population incline to increase and have oral health problem especially dental caries and periodontal disease. Moreover they have more root caries prevalence than other groups. Most kinds of their dental treatment needs are curative and rehabilitative. Meanwhile dental treatment demand are lower than of dental treatment needs in elderly. However elderly in different area have different problem.So dental personnel should pay attention to elderly group in promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspect.
