บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาประสบการณ์การดูแลทันตสุขภาพเด็กออทิสติกของผู้ดูแลเด็กออทิสติกที่ศึกษาในโรงเรียนพลร่มอนุสรณ์มิตรภาพที่ 50 จังหวัดลพบุรี หรือที่ศึกษาที่ศูนย์การศึกษาพิเศษจังหวัดลพบุรี หรือที่มารับการกระตุ้นพัฒนาการที่โรงพยาบาลพระนารายณ์ จังหวัดลพบุรี เลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างจากความสมัครใจ เก็บข้อมูล ช่วงเดือน พฤษภาคม 2553 - มกราคม 2554 โดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์ที่มีโครงสร้างตามกรอบตัวแปรที่ศึกษา คือการดูแลทันตสุขภาพเด็กออทิสติก ปัจจัยผู้ดูแล และ ความคาดหวังของผู้ดูแล
ผลการศึกษาผู้ดูแล 13 คน เป็นชาย 4 คนและหญิง 9 คน อายุระหว่าง 29 ถึง 58 ปี ระดับการศึกษาประถมศึกษาถึงปริญญาตรี ดูแลเด็กออทิสติก 13 คน อายุระหว่าง 4-11ปี พบว่า เด็กออทิสติก บริโภคนมหวาน 10 คน บริโภคนมจืด 3 คน แปรงฟันโดยผู้ปกครองต้องบังคับ 8 คน และ 2 คนไม่ยอมแปรงเลย ช่วงอายุ 0 – 3 ปี เด็กบางรายได้รับการทาฟลูออไรด์วาร์นิช ส่วนช่วงประถมศึกษาไม่มีผู้ใดได้รับการเคลือบหลุมร่องฟันเลย เด็ก 10 คนผู้ดูแลไม่เคยพาไปพบทันตบุคลากร ความคาดหวังของผู้ดูแลคือต้องการการยอมรับ ความเข้าใจจากสังคม และโอกาสที่ใกล้เคียงกับเด็กปกติทั่วไปที่ได้รับ
