บทคัดย่อ
วัตถุประสงค์การศึกษานี้เพื่อศึกษาสถานการณ์การเข้าถึงบริการใส่ฟันเทียมของผู้สูงอายุไทยปี 2552 โดยวิเคราะห์จากฐานข้อมูลดิบ (raw data) การสำรวจอนามัยและสวัสดิการ และการสำรวจภาวะเศรษฐกิจและสังคมของครัวเรือนของสำนักงานสถิติแห่งชาติ ข้อมูลประกอบด้วยข้อมูลระดับบุคคลปี 2552 73,084 ราย ใน 26,500 ครัวเรือน ประมวลผลข้อมูลโดยถ่วงน้ำหนักข้อมูล (Weight) เพื่อให้ได้ค่าประมาณของประชากรทั้งหมด
อัตราการมีหลักประกันสุขภาพของกลุ่มสูงอายุปี 2552 เท่ากับร้อยละ 98.1 มีสิทธิหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้าสูงสุดร้อยละ 79.3 กลุ่มผู้สูงอายุใช้บริการทันตกรรมร้อยละ 8.6 ส่วนใหญ่ใช้บริการถอนฟันร้อยละ 55.5 ใช้บริการใส่ฟันเทียมร้อยละ 15.6 ทั้งกลุ่มสูงอายุสิทธิ UC และ สิทธิข้าราชการกลับใช้บริการโดยไม่ใช้สิทธิสวัสดิการสูงถึงร้อยละ 53.3 และ 67.3 ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ใช้บริการฟันเทียมที่คลินิกเอกชนโดยเสียค่าใช้จ่ายเองร้อยละ 62.1 และ 58.8 ตามลำดับ
