การประเมินรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนด้านทันตกรรมผู้สูงอายุในวิทยาลัยการสาธารณสุข 2 แห่ง ในประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ
ทันตาภิบาลเป็นกำลังสำคัญในการดูแลสุขภาพช่องปากของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน การพัฒนาห้องเรียนด้านทันตกรรมผู้สูงอายุสำหรับนักศึกษาทันตสาธารณสุขจึงเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการเตรียมพร้อมบุคลากรสำหรับการเข้าสู่สังคมผู้สูงอายุโดยสมบูรณ์ของประเทศไทย การแพร่ระบาดของโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 (โควิด-19) ที่ต้องมีการเว้นระยะห่างทางสังคม ทำให้เกิดความท้าทายในการจัดการเรียนรู้จากห้องเรียนเป็นการเรียนรู้แบบออนไลน์ การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมินประสิทธิผลของห้องเรียนรายวิชาทันตกรรมผู้สูงอายุในวิทยาลัยการสาธารณสุขสองแห่งในประเทศไทย การศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาด้วยวิธีกึ่งทดลอง เปรียบเทียบระหว่างห้องเรียนออนไลน์รายวิชาทันตกรรมผู้สูงอายุ (กลุ่มทดลอง, n = 31) และห้องเรียนรายวิชาทันตกรรมผู้สูงอายุโดยใช้โครงงานเป็นฐาน (กลุ่มเปรียบเทียบ, n = 31) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษานี้ ได้แก่ แบบวัดความรู้และแบบวัดเจตคติระหว่างก่อนและหลังเรียน และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจหลังเรียน เปรียบเทียบข้อมูลระหว่างสองกลุ่มด้วยสถิติการทดสอบทีในข้อมูลของสองกลุ่มที่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (independent t-test) และการทดสอบแมน-วิทนีย์ ยู (Mann-Whitney U test) กำหนดระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ 0.05 ผลการศึกษาพบว่า คะแนนความต่างระหว่างก่อนและหลังเรียนของคะแนนวัดความรู้ของทั้งสองกลุ่มไม่มีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ คะแนนความต่างระหว่างก่อนและหลังเรียนของคะแนนวัดเจตคติในหัวข้อการรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเองและหัวข้อการเหยียดอายุระหว่างสองกลุ่มแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ (p < 0.05) คะแนนวัดความพึงพอใจหลังเรียนของกลุ่มทดลองสูงกว่ากลุ่มเปรียบเทียบอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ (p < 0.01) สรุปคือ ท่ามกลางสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-19 รูปแบบการเรียนการสอนในห้องเรียนออนไลน์ด้านทันตกรรมผู้สูงอายุสำหรับนักศึกษาทันตสาธารณสุข อาจทดแทนห้องเรียนแบบดั้งเดิมได้ ในด้านการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้และเจตคติ ตลอดจนนักศึกษามีความพึงพอใจในการเรียนรู้ในห้องเรียนออนไลน์
