ความรู้และทัศนคติของทันตแพทย์ไทยต่อภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับจากการอุดกั้น

บทคัดย่อ
ภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับจากการอุดกั้นเป็นความผิดปกติของการนอนหลับที่นำไปสู่ปัญหาสุขภาพหากไม่ได้รับการวินิจฉัยและรักษาและอาจส่งผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตได้ ซึ่งทันตแพทย์มีส่วนร่วมในการจัดการโดยการคัดกรองผู้ป่วยเบื้องต้น การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจระดับความรู้และทัศนคติต่อภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับจากการอุดกั้นของทันตแพทย์ในประเทศไทย โดยใช้การศึกษาแบบตัดขวางเชิงวิเคราะห์ เก็บข้อมูลกลุ่มตัวอย่างทันตแพทย์ไทยจำนวน 494 คน ระหว่างเดือนกรกฎาคมถึงกันยายน พ.ศ. 2565 โดยใช้แบบสอบถามออนไลน์ประกอบด้วย 3 ส่วนได้แก่ ข้อมูลทั่วไป ความรู้ และทัศนคติ การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติ Mann-Whitney U test และสถิติ Kruskal- Wallis test ผลการศึกษาพบว่าในกลุ่มตัวอย่างทันตแพทย์ไทยร้อยละ 56.9 มีระดับความรู้น้อย เกี่ยวกับคำจำกัดความของโรค พยาธิสรีรวิทยา การวินิจฉัยและการรักษา แต่มีทัศนคติเชิงบวกโดยร้อยละ 76 เห็นด้วยว่าภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับจากการอุดกั้นอาจคุกคามถึงชีวิต และร้อยละ 51.8 มีความมั่นใจว่าทันตแพทย์ควรสามารถตรวจคัดกรองผู้ป่วย เพื่อหาความเสี่ยงของภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับจากการอุดกั้นที่เป็นไปได้ สรุปว่าทันตแพทย์ไทยยังมีระดับความรู้น้อยแต่มีทัศนคติที่ดีต่อภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับจากการอุดกั้น จึงมีข้อเสนอแนะว่าในหลักสูตรการเรียนการสอนในระดับทันตแพทยศาสตร์บัณฑิต และระดับหลังปริญญา ควรได้รับการสนับสนุนให้มีการเรียนรู้เพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับจากการอุดกั้น เพื่อเพิ่มสมรรถนะทันตแพทย์ไทยในการทำงานเป็นทีมสหสาขาวิชาชีพในการป้องกันหรือจัดการผู้ป่วยภาวะหยุดหายใจขณะหลับจากการอุดกั้น
