Giant Hydronephrosis: Unusual Presentation
Keywords:
Giant hydronephrosisAbstract
Two cases of giant hydronephrosis are reported and the literatures are briefly reviewed. The first case was unusual in its coincidence of giant hydronephrosis together with full term pregnancy. The second case was the giant hydronephrosis resulting from calculous occlusion.
The importance of pre-operative diagnosis is emphasized. The chances of infection of the hydronephrotic fluid, the enormous size of the hydronephrosis and the differential diagnosis are discussed.
