Molecular Genetics of Cancers
Keywords:
Molecular genetics, CancerAbstract
Advances in the molecular genetic of cancer in the last 15 years have made significant impact on patient management. The application of new technologies in molecular genetics and immunology may provide the clini-cians with the tools to enhance patient survival. The focus of this review is to provide a brief simplified descrip-tion of the basic science of molecular genetics using head and neck cancer as a model and to outline potential applications and limitations of our current knowledge.
