The study of Communication Design Development Process of Communication Design Program at Mahidol University International College (MUIC) is a qualitative research, which aims to create the design development process and examine the important factors that have enhanced MUIC’s students’ design potentials to higher international standards.

The results show that the important factors that have contributed to success are          1.) A lecturer’s and the students’ good command of English 2.) A lecturer’s extensive knowledge in communication design and the students’ basic knowledge of communication design at university level for at least one year. 3.) The ratio of lecturer and students in the workshop, in which a lecturer supervised not more than 20 students. 4.) The period of the workshop that is suitable and in alignment with the teaching of the course the students were participating. 5.) All the five factors are relevant to the quality of creating communication design works at an international level. As for the process of communication design, the researcher studied and developed it to be the Communication Design Development Process of MUIC, which consists of 4 phases and 8 steps: Phase I. Preparation, consisting of Step 1. Team Forming; Phase II. Design and Production, consisting of Step 2. Problem Definition, Step 3. Research, Step 4. Idea Generation, Step 5. Development, and Step 6. Selection; Phase III. Evaluation, consisting of Step 7. Testing; and lastly Phase IV. Learning, consisting of Step 8. The Best Outcome.
