ความต้องการดุษฎีบัณฑิตสารสนเทศศึกษาของตลาดแรงงานและสังคม (Job Market and Social needs for Ph.D. Graduate in Information Studies.)

Abstract

              งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการและคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของดุษฎีบัณฑิตสาขาสารสนเทศศึกษาของตลาดแรงงานและสังคม ซึ่งใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือ และเก็บข้อมูลจากผู้ประกอบการภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนในเขตภาคเหนือที่เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน  411 คน ได้รับแบบสอบถามกลับมา จำนวน 392 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 95.38 ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ (1) ข้อมูลทั่วไปของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง ร้อยละ 63.52 มีอายุระหว่าง 31-40 ปี ร้อยละ 45.41  สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี ร้อยละ 53.32  มีประสบการณ์ทำงานระหว่าง 6-10 ปี ร้อยละ 30.36 ประเภทของหน่วยงานที่ตอบแบบสอบถามมากที่สุดคือ ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย/วิทยาลัยในเขตภาคเหนือ ร้อยละ 34.95 โดยผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่มีสถานภาพในหน่วยงานเป็นผู้ปฏิบัติงาน ร้อยละ 53.83 ซึ่งในหน่วยงานมีผู้ปฏิบัติงานที่มีวุฒิการศึกษาด้านบรรณารักษศาสตร์และสารสนเทศศาสตร์มากที่สุด ร้อยละ 56.89 และสำเร็จการศึกษาในระดับปริญญาตรี ร้อยละ 49.49


               (2)ด้านความต้องการดุษฎีบัณฑิตสารสนเทศศึกษาของตลาดแรงงานและสังคม พบว่า หน่วยงานมีความต้องการดุษฎีบัณฑิตสาขาสารสนเทศศึกษา ร้อยละ 54.59 คุณลักษณะของดุษฎีบัณฑิตที่ควรได้รับการพัฒนามากที่สุด คือด้านความรู้และทักษะภาษาอังกฤษ ร้อยละ 42.86 ในส่วนของความต้องการนำดุษฎีบัณฑิตสารสนเทศศึกษามาพัฒนาองค์กร เห็นควรให้ดุษฎีบัณฑิตสารสนเทศศึกษาเข้ามาพัฒนาองค์กรในด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ร้อยละ 37.76 (3) ด้านคุณลักษณะและคุณสมบัติเฉพาะของดุษฎีบัณฑิตสาขาสารสนเทศศึกษาที่ต้องการและคาดหวังมีทั้งหมด 5 ด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านคุณธรรมจริยธรรม ด้านความรู้เชิงทฤษฎี ด้านทักษะทางปัญญา ด้านทักษะความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบุคคลและความรับผิดชอบ และด้านทักษะการวิเคราะห์คณิตศาสตร์ การสื่อสารและการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ อยู่ในระดับมาก ( =4.46)


 


                The research aimed to study the need and desired characteristics of Doctor of Philosophy in Information Studies for labor market and society. The survey research consisted of 411 questionnaires, that were sent to public and private entrepreneurs in the northern region. The researcher received 392 questionnaires in return, with the response rate being 95.38%. The results were as follows; (1) Most respondents were female (63.52%), aged between 31-40 years old (45.41%), Bachelor’s degree graduation (53.32%), 6-10 years of work experience (30.36%). The type of agency that responded the most was: University / College Library in the North (34.95%), most respondents were operatives (53.83%), most respondents hold a Bachelor’s degree in library and information science (56.89%) and they graduated with Bachelor’s degree (49.49%)  


               (2)The need of Doctor of Philosophy in Information Studies for labor market and society found that an agency needs Ph.D. in Information Studies (54.59%) Characteristic of Ph.D that should be developed most was knowledge and skills of English (42.86 %). In terms of demand for the Doctor of Philosophy in Information Studies to develop the organization found that respondents agreed (37.76%) (3) In regards to the required and expected characteristic and special characteristic of Ph.D. in Information Studies, the results showed high score on overall of 5 aspects; Ethics and Morals Theoretical Knowledge Intellectual skills  Interpersonal skill and responsibility and Mathematical Skills Communication and Use of Information Technology  ( =4.46).
