การท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬาโอกาสสำหรับจังหวัดชายแดนใต้ (Sport Tourism advantage on Thai Southern Border Province)

Abstract

             การท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬา (Sports Tourism) เป็นการท่องเที่ยวอีกรูปแบบหนึ่งที่ได้รับความนิยมอย่างรวดเร็วในกลุ่มนักท่องเที่ยวในปัจจุบัน โดยได้รับอิทธิพลเรื่องความสนใจการดูแลสุขภาพ และการให้ความสำคัญในการออกกำลังกายและเล่นกีฬา การท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬาสามารถแบ่งรูปแบบออกเป็น 2 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ การติดตามชมกีฬาในมหกรรมการแข่งขันกีฬาและการเดินทางมาเพื่อเล่นกีฬา พร้อมทั้งการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวในแหล่งท่องเที่ยวต่างๆ  การท่องเที่ยวในสามจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ ได้แก่ นราธิวาส ปัตตานี ยะลา มีแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่สวยงามทั้งด้านธรรมชาติ ประเพณี ศาสนา วัฒนธรรมและการค้าชายแดน แต่ต้องพบกับอุปสรรคที่สำคัญ คือ สถานการณ์ความไม่สงบในพื้นที่ สร้างความไม่มั่นใจต่อนักท่องเที่ยว ซึ่งทำให้นักท่องเที่ยวไม่กล้าเดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวส่งผลโดยตรงต่อความซบเซาและหดตัวของภาคเศรษฐกิจและภาคการท่องเที่ยว  ดังนั้นบทความวิชาการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ทบทวนความรู้แนวคิด ทฤษฎีเกี่ยวกับการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬาเพื่อเป็นแนวทางให้ผู้ที่สนใจนำการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬา เข้าไปมีบทบาทส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวในพื้นที่จังหวัดชายแดนใต้  2) เพื่อนำเสนอแนวคิดเรื่องความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬาชายแดนใต้กับมิติด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคม วัฒนธรรม การท่องเที่ยวและการเมือง โดยศึกษาทบทวน แนวคิด ทฤษฎี วรรณกรรมและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อหาองค์ความรู้ในเรื่องการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬาและความสัมพันธ์ในมิติด้านต่างๆ และนำเสนอข้อเสนอแนะให้ผู้ที่สนใจสามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการพัฒนาจัดการพื้นที่ในจังหวัดชายแดนใต้ให้เหมาะสมและประสบความสำเร็จโดยผ่านการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬา

               การนำ “การท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬา” เข้ามาบูรณาการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวในพื้นที่เป็นการสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มและการตระหนักรู้ถึงแหล่งท่องเที่ยว สร้างภาพลักษณ์ที่ดีให้กับพื้นที่ชายแดนใต้ และแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในมุมมองนักท่องเที่ยวและประชาชนทั่วไป นำไปสู่คุณค่าและประโยชน์ต่าง ๆ ให้เกิดกับจังหวัดชายแดนใต้ โดยส่งผลต่อการกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจสร้างรายได้ในพื้นที่  ด้านสังคม ประชาชน เยาวชน เห็นถึงคุณค่าของการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬาในการเป็นผู้มีน้ำใจนักกีฬา รู้แพ้ รู้ชนะ รู้จักการให้อภัย   อันจะนำไปสู่ความสามัคคี ปรองดอง สอดคล้องกับแผนงานการแก้ไขปัญหาและพัฒนาจังหวัดชายแดนใต้ อย่างไรก็ตามการนำการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬา มาประยุกต์ใช้ในการพัฒนาจังหวัดชายแดนใต้ให้ประสบผลสำเร็จ ต้องคำนึงถึงการมีส่วนร่วมจากประชาชน ภาครัฐ เอกชน เคารพในความเชื่อ อัตลักษณ์ วิถีชีวิต ภาษา ศาสนาและวัฒนธรรมประเพณีที่แตกต่างกัน  การยอมรับและเห็นคุณค่าของการอยู่ร่วมกันภายใต้ความหลากหลายใน “สังคมพหุวัฒนธรรม” เพื่อให้เกิดความมั่นคงทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม   การท่องเที่ยว การเมือง ที่แท้จริงและมีความยั่งยืนต่อไป

                Sport tourism is an arising variety of tourism which gets its momentum from wellness trend and interest in sport and exercise. It can be classified into three major categories: Sport Event Tourism, Active Sport Tourism and Nostalgia Sport Tourism. There are plenty of fascinating natural and cultural attractions in southern border provinces, consists of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat, however, their tourism potential is currently impeded by insurgency in the area. The insurrection decimates safety confidence and leads tourists to avoid the area, causing stagnant in regional trade and economy. This article has two main objectives. First, to review concepts and theories about sport tourism as a guidance for those interested in adopting the notions as one of the means to promote tourism in the region. Second, to present correlation between sport tourism in southern border region and its influence on various aspects, including economy, society, travel and politics. Using related studies and researches, an insight into sport tourism and its effect is established with some recommendations about applying the knowledge to achieve success in reforming local tourism management using sport tourism.

               Integration of sport tourism could help inspire travel within the area by creating awareness and positive image of local attractions, bringing about maximizing their full potentiality and stimulation of local economy. In social aspect, both adults and youths would benefit from sport tourism in terms of sportsmanship, leading to solidarity. This is consistent with state plans and policies to create peace in the area that focus on love and harmony. In conclusion, successful application of sport tourism to develop southern border provinces could be achieved with the following to be considered: cooperation of citizens, public and private sectors; cultural diversity in terms of religions, languages, beliefs, identities and traditions; acknowledgement of living together in a multicultural society. This accomplishment would ultimately shape lasting regional economic, social, tourism and political stability.
