โครงการออกแบบเครื่องประดับอวยพร จากสัญลักษณ์มงคลแบบจีน (Chinese blessing jewelry)

Abstract

               การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อสร้างสรรค์เครื่องประดับอวยพรร่วมสมัยที่แสดงถึงความเชื่อในเรื่อง สิริมงคลของชาวจีน โดยแสดงผ่านรูปแบบของสัญลักษณ์ที่มีความหมายอันเป็นมงคล และศึกษาเกี่ยวกับรูปแบบและองค์ประกอบต่าง ๆ ทางศิลปะที่ใช้สื่อความหมาย ที่มีนัยและความสำคัญร่วมกับผู้สวมใส่เครื่องประดับ

               กระบวนการวิจัยนั้น มีขั้นตอนในการศึกษาข้อมูลและรวบรวมเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับความเชื่อในเรื่อง สิริมงคลของคนจีน โดยเริ่มศึกษาจากการใช้สัญลักษณ์แทนคำสิริมงคล การสื่อความหมายของสัญลักษณ์ บทบาทและรูปแบบของสัญลักษณ์ที่ปรากฏบนเครื่องประดับและเครื่องแต่งกายมีความสำคัญกับผู้สวมใส่อย่างไร โดยศึกษาและทดลองวัสดุเพื่อค้นหาวัสดุทดแทน ให้เกิดความเหมาะสมและยังคงเอกลักษณ์ของงาน โดยเลือกใช้ไหมปัก มาทดลองปักไล่เป็นเส้นเหมือนขนนกกระเต็น และนำมาทดลองปักกับวัสดุต่าง ๆ ให้เกิดมิติการเปลี่ยนแปลง การเคลื่อนไหว และจัดองค์ประกอบกับรูปทรงให้เกิดความงามที่เหมาะสม โดยใช้สัญลักษณ์และสีมงคล มาสร้างผลงานเครื่องประดับ

               จากกระบวนการศึกษาและการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทำให้ข้าพเจ้านำรูปแบบของสัญลักษณ์มงคลจีนที่สื่อความหมายเกี่ยวกับผู้หญิง มาใช้ร่วมกับรูปทรงเครื่องประดับศีรษะโบราณของผู้ชายที่มีความสง่างาม เพื่อสื่อถึงผู้หญิงในยุคปัจจุบันที่มีความมั่นใจ เข้มแข็ง และพึ่งพาตัวเองได้ แต่ยังคงมีความงามและความอ่อนหวานอยู่ โดยนำวัสดุหลากหลายประเภท ได้แก่ ผ้า ไหม โลหะ และเซรามิก มาใช้ในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน พัฒนารูปแบบให้เกิดความร่วมสมัย แสดงความหมายเป็นสิริมงคลและความงามที่มีเอกลักษณ์อันโดดเด่น

               The purposes of this project are designing contemporary blessing jewelry that exhibits Chinese belief in prosperity through a blessing symbol and studying on essential characteristics and elements of art that describe how the value of artwork are communicated and linked to wearers.

               The research methodology is to collect relevant information and study on Chinese’s belief in prosperity by starting with studying on symbols that stand for blessing words in Chinese language, meaning of the symbols, and how importance of characteristic and type of the symbols that display on accessories and attires affect to wearers. Various studies and researches have been done to find the suitable substitute materials to create a new artwork while maintaining the quality and distinctiveness of the artwork. Silk thread has been selected to substitute Kingfisher’s feathers and tested with several materials to create dimensions, transformations, movements, and composed with shapes in different angles to create fine-looking aspect as well as applying iconic symbols and blessing colors in according with Chinese belief to create a blessing jewelry.

               According to research methodology and data analysis, researcher selects a Chinese blessing symbol that is related to feminine to integrate with shapes of men’s ancient headwear. This is to imply that although woman is confident, strong, and self-reliance, she is still lovely and soft. Variety of materials such as fabric, silk, metal and ceramic are used to create the artwork in contemporary pattern and to represent prosperity, blessing and gorgeousness.
