Abstract

                 The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the integration of the intercultural contents to task-based activities in EFL classroom setting. Data collected include teacher’s reflective journals, student focus group interview, and students’ learning logs. The findings suggest that the integration of intercultural contents to task-based activities is a feasible and effective innovation for teaching language and culture. The integration of intercultural contents to task-based activities was reported to be beneficial in engaging and motivating students in learning, enhancing intercultural awareness, and improving their communication abilities. However, students expressed difficulties with using target language during doing tasks.
