การออกแบบเลขนศิลป์สิ่งแวดล้อมสาหรับจังหวัดมหาสารคาม Environmental Graphic Design for Maha Sarakham Province

Abstract

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยฉบับนี้เป็นการศึกษาเพื่อออกแบบเลขนศิลป์สิ่งแวดล้อมสาหรับจังหวัดมหาสารคาม โดยการวิเคราะห์หาอัตลักษณ์ของจังหวัด และนาข้อมูลที่ได้จากการศึกษาไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการออกแบบ ซึ่งมีขั้นตอนในการดาเนินงานเริ่มต้นจากการรวบรวมข้อมูลภาคเอกสารและข้อมูลภาคสนาม จากนั้นทาการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเพื่อสร้างแบบสอบถาม และนาไปเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนามกับกลุ่มตัวอย่าง (ผู้มีองค์ความรู้เกี่ยวกับจังหวัดมหาสารคาม) แล้วทาการวิเคราะห์แบบสอบถามทั้งหมดเพื่อนาข้อมูลบางส่วนมาสร้างแบบสัมภาษณ์ และนาไปเก็บข้อมูลกับผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ นักวิชาการ และผู้เชี่ยวชาญที่มีความรู้เกี่ยวกับจังหวัดมหาสารคาม ขั้นตอนต่อไปคือการวิเคราะห์แบบสอบถามและแบบสัมภาษณ์เพื่อหาปัจจัย องค์ประกอบที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอัตลักษณ์ของจังหวัด และแนวทางในการออกแบบ แล้วทาการออกแบบตัวอย่างงาน
เลขนศิลป์สิ่งแวดล้อม และนาผลงานการออกแบบไปประเมินโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิกลุ่มเดิมที่เคยสัมภาษณ์
ผลการวิจัยพบว่าอัตลักษณ์ของจังหวัดมหาสารคามนั้นสามารถสื่อสารได้จากสิ่งที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของจังหวัด ซึ่งสิ่งที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์หลักและเป็นสิ่งที่ควรนาไปประชาสัมพันธ์จังหวัดมหาสารคามคือ พระธาตุนาดูน ส่วนสิ่งที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์รองได้แก่ งานบุญเบิกฟ้ากาชาด ปูทูลกระหม่อม และผ้าไหมลายสร้อยดอกหมาก ส่วนหลักในการออกแบบเลขนศิลป์สิ่งแวดล้อมสาหรับจังหวัดมหาสารคามนั้น ในด้านรูปร่าง รูปทรง เพื่อให้เกิดความเป็นเอกภาพ ให้ใช้รูปแบบสถาปัตยกรรมของพระธาตุนาดูนเป็นรูปแบบหลักในการออกแบบ ด้านลวดลายประดับตกแต่ง ให้ใช้ลวดลายของผ้าไหมลายสร้อยดอกหมากเป็นลวดลายในการประดับตกแต่ง ด้านการใช้สี ให้ยึดตามสีของปูทูลกระหม่อม ได้แก่ สีม่วงและสีเหลืองส้ม แต่มีการปรับค่าสีให้เหมาะสมของการออกแบบ
ตัวอย่างผลงานการออกแบบเลขนศิลป์สิ่งแวดล้อมสาหรับจังหวัดมหาสารคาม มีทั้งสิ้น 5 รายการ ได้แก่ ป้ายแสดงแผนที่ (Directory Sign) ป้ายแสดงข้อมูลสถานที่ (Information Sign) ซุ้มประตูเมือง (Gateway) โคมไฟถนน (Street Light) และกราฟิกฝาผนัง (Mural Graphic) เมื่อนาผลงานการออกแบบไปประเมินผลกับผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ นักวิชาการ และผู้เชี่ยวชาญที่มีความรู้เกี่ยวกับจังหวัดมหาสารคาม พบว่า 

ภาพรวมของการออกแบบสามารถสะท้อนถึงอัตลักษณ์ของจังหวัดมหาสารคามได้ผลอยู่ในเกณฑ์ที่ดี และภาพรวมของการออกแบบสามารถส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ที่ดีของจังหวัดได้ผลอยู่ในเกณฑ์ที่ดี
Abstract
This research is a study of environmental graphic design for Maha Sarakham province. The research is to analyze identity of the province. All collected data were applied for the design. The initial step is the implementation of document data and fieldwork. The data was analyzed to create set of questions, then, start fieldwork with samplers (residential native who have knowledge of Maha Sarakham province). All questionnaires were analyzed to create interview and fieldwork process by collecting interview data from highly qualified scholars and experts of the province. The next step is, analyze all questionnaires and interviews to generate design framework and deter-mine all factors which related to the identity of the province, which result into a creative process for environmental graphic design. The contributed designs are evaluated by qualified scholars and experts who have knowledge of the province.
From the research, the design found that the identy of Maha Sarakham province has unique ways of communication. The major uniqueness which should be promoted is Phra That Na Dun (Buddhist Park of Isan). The second are Bun Boek Fa Fair and Red Cross Fair, Thaipotamon Chulabhorn (a kind of freshwater crab), and Soi-Dok-Mak Pattern Silk. In term of shape and figure the principle of environmental graphic design for Maha Sarakham province, Phra That Na Dun has the highest recognizable identity of architectural style. The Soi-Dok-Mak Pattern Silk is recognized for pattern of decorative motifs. In term of colors, purple and yellow are based on Thaipotamon Chulabhorn. It may also be adjusted to various design cateria.
Sample contribution of environmental graphic design of Maha Sarakham province has total of 5 items: directory sign, information sign, gateway, street light, and mural graphic. After highly qualified scholars and experts of the province evaluated all items, the result found that the overview of the design can reflect the identity of province in good standing. Moreover, the overview of the design can promote a positive image of the province, which also resulted in good.
