The Requirement of Online Training Package in the Preparation of Online Learning in Graduate Studies, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University

Abstract

         The purpose of this research study were to study the general information of online training package in the preparation of online learning in graduate studies, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. The research instrument was a questionnaire used for asking the students’ opinions. The sample for studying the general information of online training package consisted of 400 graduate students from 10 programs of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University.The statistical analysis employed were frequency and percentage. The content analysis was to analyze the answers of open- ended questions.
The results of the study from asking 400 graduate students presenting that the highest usage of the instruments for online learning was Internet Explorer (46.30%) .The most convenient time for online training was 07.00 – 09.00 p.m. (29.50%). The period of training was 1.30 - 2 hours (41.25%) .The content of online training should be comprehensible (53.50%). The techniques and procedures of online training should provide practical training for students (85.00%). The supplementary media of online training should have animation (39.50%). The units of lessons should run in order (89.75%). There should be an instructor giving advice to students during training (43.00%) and the online training evaluation should be acquired from a questionnaire (54.40%). These were the highest of each part in content and online training package design.
