บทคัดย่อ

            เชียงคาน เป็นเมืองที่มีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่นของย่านชุมชนเก่า ได้แก่ บ้านไม้เรือนแถวเก่า ประเพณีและวัฒนธรรมที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ดั้งเดิมมาช้านาน อาหารพื้นบ้าน เป็นต้นจึงเป็นแรงดึงดูดให้นักท่องเที่ยวเข้ามาภายในพื้นที่ และเกิดกิจกรรมต่างๆที่ส่งผลกระทบทั้งด้านบวกและลบต่อชุมชน อาทิเช่น ขณะที่เศรษฐกิจชุมชนดีขึ้นแต่ต้องแลกมาซึ่งความเสื่อมโทรมของสภาพแวดล้อม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นขยะมูลฝอย น้ำเสีย มลภาวะทางเสียงจากกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยว ดังนั้นทุกคนต้องร่วมกันหาทางป้องกันและแก้ปัญหาที่เกิดจากการท่องเที่ยว มิเช่นนั้น ชุมชนอาจสูญเสียเอกลักษณ์ไปในที่สุด ผู้วิจัยจึงต้องการศึกษาเรื่องผลกระทบจากการพัฒนา การท่องเที่ยวทางวัฒนธรรมประเภทย่านชุมชนเก่า เพื่อหาแนวทางการลดปัญหาที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตได้ทันท่วงที ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ประเด็นปัญหาสำคัญอันดับแรก คือ ปัญหาด้านสังคม วิถีการดำเนินชีวิตของคนเชียงคานกำลังเปลี่ยนแปลงไป การประกอบอาชีพดั้งเดิมของชนบทกำลังเลือนหายไป ปัญหารองลงมา คือ ปัญหามลภาวะ ดังนั้นแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต คือการวางมาตรการ โดยอาศัยหลักการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน เพื่อให้เชียงคานยังคงความเป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะสืบต่อไป

Abstract                                                                                                                            Chiang Khan is an old commercial community which includes, old wooden row house, traditional culture and local food. Chiangkhan potential to attract tourists by these unique configuration. But tourism affects, both positive and negative consequences, such as rubbish problem, environmental damage and lifestyle. Therefore these negative consequence need to find a way to prevent and to solve problems caused by tourism. Otherwise Chiang Khan community could lose its identity in the end. This research aims to study negative impacts of tourism development in a cultural and traditional tourism place, Chiang khan community. This paper intends to search for problems of tourism impact on its community. Research tool includes for analysis statistical techniques as well as interviewing original inhabitants, entrepreneur, local authorities. Findings reveal that the first important problem is pollution. The second is lack of measure to preserve traditional culture in the community. Therefore, planning measure is appropriate process to improve these problems which will occur cultural tourism place in the future. By using the principles of sustainable tourism, Chiang khan will be able to maintain unique assets.
