การพัฒนาสื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes เพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษและความตระหนักรู้ด้านคุณธรรมจริยธรรม สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนนาคประสิทธิ์ อ.สามพราน จ.นครปฐม

Abstract

          การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1)พัฒนาและหาประสิทธิภาพของสื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes 2)เปรียบเทียบความสามารถการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษนครปฐมก่อนและหลังการใช้สื่อเสริมความสามารถการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษและคุณธรรมจริยธรรม สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนนาคประสิทธิ์ อ.สามพราน จ.นครปฐม 3) เปรียบเทียบความตระหนักรู้ด้านคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของนักเรียนก่อนและหลังการใช้สื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes 4) ศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนต่อความเหมาะสมของสื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนนาคประสิทธิ์ อ.สามพราน จ.นครปฐม ในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2548 จำนวน 40 คน

          เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1)สื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes จำนวน 10 บท 2)แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถทางการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษก่อนและหลังเรียน 3) แบบประเมินความตระหนักรู้ด้านคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของนักเรียนก่อนและหลังการใช้สื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes 4) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนที่มีต่อบทเรียนสื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล t-test เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์การอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนกลุ่มตัวอย่างก่อนและหลังเรียนด้วยกิจกรรมการอ่านและใช้ค่าเฉลี่ยส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานในการหาค่าระดับความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนที่มีต่อสื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes

           ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

             1)  ประสิทธิภาพของสื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes มีค่าเท่ากับ 77.07/ 77.08 ซึ่งถือว่ามีประสิทธิภาพเป็นไปตามเกณฑ์ 75/75

             2) ความสามารถทางการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนโดยใช้สื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05

             3) ความตระหนักรู้ด้านคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของนักเรียน หลังจากเรียนสื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้านภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes สูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 

             4) นักเรียนมีความคิดเห็นต่อความเหมาะสมของสื่อเสริมการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษจากนิทานพื้นบ้าน ภาคกลาง โดยใช้โปรแกรม Hot Potatoes อยู่ในระดับดี

          The purposes of the research were to: 1) develop and test the efficiency of  English reading materials based on Thai central region folktales; 2)  compare the students English reading ability Pratomsuksa-sixth students before and after using the materials; 3)compare the students’ethics awareness before and after using the supplementary materials; and 4)  survey students’ opinions on the supplementary materials. The subjects consisted of one selected class of 40 sixth grade students of Nakprasith school, Nakhonpatom Province during the second semester of academic year 2015.

          The instruments used for gathering data consisted of : 1) ten units of English reading supplementary materials based on Thai central region folktales; 2) a reading proficiency test used as the pre- test and post- test;  3) a questionnaire measuring opinions toward the suitability of the supplementary materials. 4) an ethics awareness test The , S.D. and the t-test were used to analyze the data in order to assess the students’ English reading ability and ethics awareness and to assess the students’ attitude toward studying English before and after using the materials. The results of the study were as follows:

             1) The average score of the ten units of the materials was 77.07 percent, whereas that of the posttest was 77.08. This means that the materials was at the acceptable level of 75/75.

             2) The students’ English reading ability after using the material was significantly higher than that before using the materials at the .05 level.

             3) The students’ ethics awareness was significantly higher after using the materials.

             4) The students’ opinions toward the suitability of the materials were at a good level.
