คำเรียกผีและความเชื่อเรื่องผีในภาษาไทยถิ่นเหนือ

Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาทางภาษาเพื่อเข้าใจระบบความคิด มโนทัศน์ และวัฒนธรรมของผู้ใช้ ภาษาไทยถิ่นเหนือซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับคำเรียกผี มีวัตถุประสงค์ 2 ประการ คือ จำแนกประเภทคำเรียกผีใน ภาษาไทยถิ่นเหนือตามองค์ประกอบทางความหมาย และวิเคราะห์ความเชื่อเรื่องผีที่ปรากฏในคำเรียกผีใน ภาษาไทยถิ่นเหนือ โดยผู้วิจัยเก็บข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์ผู้บอกภาษาที่อาศัยอยู่ในหมู่บ้านป่าเสร้าหลวง ตำบลสันปูเลย อำเภอดอยสะเก็ด จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ จำนวน 15 คน ซึ่งมีการคัดเลือกอย่างเฉพาะเจาะจง

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า คำเรียกผีในภาษาไทยถิ่นเหนือมีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 43 คำ เมื่อนำมาจำแนก ประเภทคำเรียกผีในภาษาไทยถิ่นเหนือตามองค์ประกอบทางความหมาย พบว่าคำเรียกผีในภาษาไทยถิ่น เหนือมีความแตกต่างกันใน 8 มิติ ได้แก่ “การกระทำ” “การปรากฏ” “เพศ” “การแสดงออก” “แหล่งที่ อยู่” “ที่มาของการตาย” “สิ่งที่มนุษย์กระทำให้” และ “อาหาร”

สำหรับการวิเคราะห์ความเชื่อเรื่องผีที่ปรากฏในคำเรียกผีในภาษาไทยถิ่นเหนือพบว่า ความเชื่อ เรื่องผีมีความสัมพันธ์กับชาวบ้านกันอย่างใกล้ชิด นับตั้งแต่ระดับครอบครัวจนกระทั่งระดับโครงสร้างทาง สังคม มีหน้าที่ในการควบคุมทางสังคม เพื่อสังคมจะได้ดำรงอยู่อย่างราบรื่นและปกติสุข ถึงแม้ว่าสังคมไทย ในภาคเหนือจะมีพุทธศาสนาเป็นศาสนาหลัก แต่ก็ยังมีความเชื่อเรื่องผีซึ่งเป็นความเชื่อดั้งเดิมอยู่จึงเกิด การผสมผสานระหว่างพุทธศาสนาและความเชื่อเรื่องผีเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน จึงกลายเป็นพุทธศาสนาแบบชาวบ้าน นอกจากนี้ความเชื่อเรื่องผีทำให้เกิดพิธีกรรมต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับผีในท้องถิ่น ซึ่งพิธีกรรมสะท้อนให้เห็นถึง การแสดงความเคารพและตอบแทนที่ทำให้ชาวบ้านประสบความสำเร็จในการดำเนินชีวิต

Abstract

This research is to study the language to understand the system of thought, concept and culture of the Northern Thai dialect associated with spirit terms. The purpose of the two main categorization in spirit terms componential analysis. And analysis of beliefs about spirits that appear in spirit terms in Northern Thai dialect. The data were collected by interviewing residents in the Muban Pa Sao Luang, Tambon San Pu Loei, Amphoe Doi Saket, Chiang Mai, Morethan 15 people who were selected purposively.

The result of analysis shows that there are 43 spirit terms. Based on a categorization in spirit terms componential analysis. It is found that spirit terms in Northern Thai dialect, eight dimensions of contrast, Which distinguish one of the terms from other. There are: “performance” “apparition” “gender” “expression” “habitat” “sources of mortality” “what people do to” and “food”.

For the analysis of beliefs about spirits that appear in the spirit terms in the Northern Thai dialect found. Beliefs about spirits is related to people very closely. Since the family level until the level of social structure. Is responsible for social control. Social will be held on smoothly and happiness. Although Thai society in Northern Buddhism is a religion. But I also believe in spirits, The conventional belief is thus the combination of Buddhism and believed in spirits together. Buddhism has become a village. In addition, the story has cause to believe that rituals associated with the local spirits. The ritual reflects the expression of respect and consideration that make people successful in life.
