บทคัดย่อ

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อวิเคราะห์ศิลปะการประพันธ์นิทานคำกาพย์ จำนวน 50 เรื่องใน ด้านเนื้อหา แนวคิด และวรรณศิลป์เพื่อให้ประจักษ์ถึงปฏิภาณของกวีในการสร้างสรรค์นิทานคำกาพย์ให้ เกิดความบันเทิงและประเทืองสติปัญญาแก่ผู้อ่าน

ผลการศึกษาทำให้เห็นว่านิทานคำกาพย์มีบทบาทต่อสังคมไทยมาแต่โบราณกาล ปรากฏ หลักฐานชัดเจนในสมัยอยุธยาถึงรัตนโกสินทร์รัชกาลที่ 6 เพื่อนำมาสวดอ่านและฟังกันในที่ประชุมชนหรือ ครัวเรือน เพื่อความบันเทิงและสั่งสอนคติธรรม

กวีมีปัญญาความสามารถอย่างยิ่งในการถ่ายทอดความรู้ความคิดซึ่งหยั่งรากลึกมาจากการเคารพ เชื่อมั่น และศรัทธาในพระพุทธศาสนา นำความสามารถรอบรู้ทางวรรณกรรม การใช้ถ้อยคำภาษา ความ จัดเจนในชีวิตและสัจธรรมของโลก รวมทั้งจินตนาการ มาสร้างสรรค์เนื้อหา แนวคิด และวรรณศิลป์ ให้ สอดประสานกันอย่างกลมกลืน สื่อความหมาย อารมณ์ความรู้สึกตามเนื้อเรื่อง และนำเสนอความรู้ ความคิดของกวีมาสู่ผู้อ่านให้เกิดความสนุกสนานเพลิดเพลินและประเทืองสติปัญญา

Abstract

The objective of this thesis is to analyze about the subject matter of 50 Kap folktales, concept and the art of literature to present the value of Kap folk tales which create pleasure and improve mental health of the readers.

The study reveals that Kap folktales have been influential in Thai society since the ancient time, with obvious evidences from the Ayutthaya Period to the Rattanakosin in the reign of King Rama 6. It is the disseminating to folk’s written literature. It was used in prayer and recitation during the social gathering or in the household and used as a reading exercise for children. Also, it was made to worship Buddhism.

Poets have intellect and skill to convey knowledge and idea from the deep roots of respecting, confidence and faith in Buddhism, the well rounded knowledge in literature, the words choice, and worldly – wise experience in life. As well as that, poets have imagination to create the subject matter and good diction to convey meaning, idea and feeling. These made a good and coherent plot, characters and concept. The Kap folktales are composed with the art of composition to convey meaning, feeling and the concept. This makes the readers pleasurable and wiser.
