The statistical analysis used was Chi-square test and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results showed that 66 percent of the primigravidae had a moderate, 23.9 percent had a high and 10.1 percent had a low level of happiness. The factors which associated with happiness in primigravidae with a statistical significance were self- esteem, personality, attitude toward pregnancy, family support, marital relationship, perception of community health service and family income (p - value < 0.05). The statistically significant predictor variables were stable personality, family support, marital relationship, self-esteem and attitude toward pregnancy. All 5 variables could predict the probability of happiness in primigravidae at 54.4%.
