Abstract

ABSTRACT

Social security is one of seven components of human security (United Nations Development Program-UNDP). There are 9 elements seted by Thai National Health Act composing with society, economic, infrastructure, natural resources and environments, accessibility to essential health care, public health policy, equity and efficiency of social justice, knowledge application, and health innovation, belief, religion, tradition and culture that affecting to health. Health security for ageing is the most important issue for Thai Health System. That should be systematically managed. From research found that lack of 5 major indicators: appropriated social status, social network, good family and community relationship, achievement motivation, and life successfulness. The primary health care units (PCUs) have the important role to manage these indicators. They should assess the health security of ageing by using the standard criteria systematically. To find out the relevant of the evident base information and improving ageing quality of life base on the basic health security in each area, and also improven the potential of ageing network with social member.
