Abstract

            The Thai Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery Volume 45 Number 1-2 January-April 2021 is continue to published in this period of the COVID-19 pandemic. The third wave of the pandemic hit since January 2021 up till now especially in Bangkok and surrounding. The elective surgery in Bangkok has been postponed. However, our member still work hard both on the service part and academic part. Most of the meeting use the virtual online which make the learning opportunity for our members and residents. This issue in your hand consists of several interesting articles with 2 case report and 4 original papers including the treatment of distal tibial fracture using MIPO and IM nail, Rod derotation technique for Idiopathic scoliosis, local tranexamic acid in posterior cervical fusion and doses of tranexamic acid in reduce bleeding in total knee replacement.


            Our journal is making progress in a positive way with supporting from the RCOST committee and all RCOST members who submit their valuable work in Orthopaedic field to demonstrated the up to date knowledge and skill or basic knowledge of Administration system to improve national policy in treating Orthopaedic patients. We hope we will pass this pandemic in very near future with the herd immunity from vaccine and setup not only the new normal for life but also for the new normal treatment for our patient.
