Abstract
Purpose
The objectives of the study were to compare the effects of line dance exercise on exercise capacity and health-related quality of life in elderly.
Methods

All participants were divided into the control group (n = 10) or an experimental group (n = 11). All participants were measured exercise capacity by using a six-minute walk test: 6MWT and health-related quality of life by using EQ-5D-5L questionnaire. The experimental group was performed exercise with line dancing exercise for a period of 60 minutes per day, 3 days per week for 6 weeks while control group did not perform any exercise program. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and independent t-test.
Results
The results revealed that the experimental group had statistically significant improvements in exercise capacity and health-related quality of life collected by EQ-5D-5L questionnaire after 6 weeks of the exercise (p < 0.05) and when compared between groups (p < 0.05).
