ผลของการใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟัน: การศึกษานำร่อง

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟัน โดยเก็บข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามจากผู้มารับบริการและนิสิตผู้ถอนฟัน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนาและสถิติเชิงอนุมาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ระหว่างวันที ่ 3 ธันวาคม ปี พ.ศ.2561 ถึงวันที่ 28 กุมภาพันธ์ ปี พ.ศ.2562 ไม่พบอุบัติการณ์การเกิดสิ่งของหล่นลงคอขณะถอนฟัน จากผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามจำานวน 183 ราย กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เป็นผู้มารับบริการถอนฟันมีอายุระหว่าง 12-79 ปี (เฉลี่ย 41.0 ± 20.3 ปี) ยอมรับการใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟันได้จำานวน 127 ราย (ร้อยละ 69.4) โดยผู้รับบริการในกลุ่มอายุ 61 ปีขึ้นไป (37 ราย; ร้อยละ 30.3) และผู้รับบริการที่มีประสบการณ์การถอนฟันมาแล้ว 1-5 ซี่ (80 ราย; ร้อยละ 63.0) มีสัดส่วนในการยอมรับการใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟันได้มากที่สุด เหตุผลส่วนใหญ่ที่ไม่สามารถใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟันได้ก็คือ ความอึดอัด/รำคาญของผู้รับบริการขณะถอนฟัน(18 ราย; ร้อยละ 32.1 เทียบกับจำานวนของผู้ที่ไม่สามารถใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟันได้) ในส่วนกลุ่มตัวอย่างของนิสิตผู้ถอนฟัน เป็นเพศชาย 71 ราย (ร้อยละ 38.8) เพศหญิง 112 ราย (ร้อยละ 61.2) พบว่า นิสิตชั้นปีที่ 5 ส่งแบบสอบถาม (90 ราย; ร้อยละ 49.2) และใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟันมากที่สุด (71 ราย; ร้อยละ 55.9 เทียบกับจำนวนของผู้ที่สามารถใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟันได้) โดยปัจจัยที่มีผลอย่างมีนัยสำาคัญต่อการใช้ผ้าก๊อซรองในช่องปากขณะถอนฟันคือ อายุของผู้มารับบริการ (p < 0.01) และประสบการณ์ของผู้ถอนฟัน (p < 0.001) จากการทดสอบไคสแควร์ โดยผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้สามารถนำไปเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนากระบวนการให้การรักษาใน คลินิกศัลยศาสตร์ให้มีความปลอดภัยมากยิ่งขึ้นต่อไป
