The Thai Journal of Radiological Technology, published by the Thai Society of Radiological Technologists, adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics to ensure integrity, transparency, and academic quality in scholarly publishing.

Duties of Authors
Authors are expected to adhere to the following ethical principles:
Originality and Prior Publication
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Accuracy and Integrity of Data
Authors must present accurate and truthful accounts of the research conducted. Data fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation of research findings is strictly prohibited.
Proper Citation and Referencing
Authors must appropriately cite the work of others when such work has influenced or been used in their study. All references must be accurately listed at the end of the manuscript.
Compliance with Author Guidelines
Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the journal’s “Instructions for Authors.”
Authorship Criteria
All individuals listed as authors must have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. Individuals who did not contribute significantly should not be listed as authors.
Funding Disclosure
Authors must clearly acknowledge all sources of financial support for the research (if any).
Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation or presentation of the research findings.
Ethical Approval for Research Involving Humans or Animals
For studies involving patients, human participants, experimental animals, or patient data, authors must clearly state that the research was reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) or an equivalent ethics committee of the respective institution. The study must comply with recognized ethical standards for research involving human or animal subjects.

Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal and must adhere to the following principles:
Editorial Responsibility and Decision-Making
Editors are responsible for evaluating the academic quality of submitted manuscripts and deciding which articles are suitable for publication based on their significance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Confidentiality
Editors must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts, authors, or reviewers to individuals not directly involved in the editorial process. The journal operates under a double-blind peer review system.
Originality and Redundant Publication
Editors must not accept manuscripts that have been previously published elsewhere.
Fairness and Evidence-Based Decisions
Editors must not reject manuscripts based solely on suspicion or unsubstantiated concerns. Any decision must be supported by clear evidence.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not have conflicts of interest with authors or reviewers. If a conflict of interest arises, the editor must withdraw from handling the manuscript and assign another editor to oversee the review process.
Plagiarism Screening
Editors must screen submitted manuscripts for plagiarism using reliable detection software to ensure the originality of published content.
Handling of Suspected Misconduct
If plagiarism or other forms of research misconduct are detected during the review process, the editor must suspend the review and promptly contact the corresponding author for clarification before making a decision regarding acceptance or rejection.
Post-Publication Corrections and Retractions
If plagiarism or prior publication is discovered after publication, the editor must take immediate action, including retraction of the article when necessary.

Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the scholarly standards of the journal and are expected to uphold the following responsibilities:
Confidentiality
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts received for review as confidential documents and must not disclose any information to individuals not involved in the review process.
Conflicts of Interest
If reviewers recognize any potential conflict of interest—such as collaboration with the authors, personal relationships, or any other circumstance that may impair impartial judgment—they must inform the editor and decline the review.
Objective and Constructive Evaluation
Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts within their area of expertise, assessing the significance, methodological rigor, analytical quality, and contribution to the field. Personal criticism unsupported by evidence is inappropriate. Review reports should be submitted within the agreed timeframe.
Identification of Relevant Work and Overlap
Reviewers should identify important relevant publications that have not been cited by the authors. If reviewers detect substantial similarity or overlap with other published works, they must promptly inform the editor
