Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice on Classification of Patients among Nurses in Udon Thani Cancer Hospital

The research aims to study knowledge, attitude, and practice on the classification of patients among nurses in Udon Thani Cancer Hospital. The sample was 40 nurses who work inward between 20 December 2018 and31 January 2019. The Instrument were knowledge, attitude, and practice on classification of patient questionnaire (IOC = .67 – 1.00, r = .98, 0.80, 0.86). The data analysis was used frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results showed that the overall average score of knowledge was high ( = 18.66). The overall score of attitudes was moderate ( = 2.31). The practical nurse toward patient classification was high ( = 3.75). The barriers to the classification of patients found that the nurse had a lack of understanding of knowledge. Therefore, there is a need to provide understanding, knowledge and create attitudes towards the classification of patients continuously. Monitoring about the quality of patient classification in order to be used for decision making, further manpower planning.
