Associated Factors of Hypothermia during General Anesthesia at Kumphawapi Hospital, Udonthani Province

This Research objective of this study to identified associated factors of inadvertent hypothermia during anesthesia patients, Kumpawapi Hospital, Udon Thani Province. Usefully to increase awareness of patient’s monitoring and to improve the effective of caring process. Retrospective study, 251 of anesthesia records were purposively selected for this study (≥15 years old age, ASA physical status 1-4, increment of 30 minutes anesthetic time, nasal probe body temperature < 37.5 ∘C, fluid/blood components replacement and operating room temperature were recorded). The data were analyzed with Chi-square analysis and multiple logistic regression analysis, P-value < .05 indicated statistically significant.
The finding this study showed the incidence of advertent core hypothermia during anesthesia were 17.53%. The most statistically significant factors associated with advertent core hypothermia were lower baseline body temperature, type of operation, higher old age patients, and male gender, respectively.
