Caring Outcomes of Dengue patients in Pediatric ward Sichon Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat

The aim of this study was to study the caring outcomes of dengue patients in Pediatric ward at Sichon Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat. Retrospective study design was used for guidance and review documentations of patients who admitted to Pediatric ward at Sichon Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat in 2019 totally 190 cases. Data were analyzed and report about frequency and percentage. In addition, the relationship between factors associated with the caring outcome of patient with dengue was analyzed by using Fisher’s Exact test. The results found that the majority of dengue patients was male amount 105 cases (55.3%) age between 10-14 years old amount 84 cases (44.2%) and 5-9 years old amount 82 cases (43.2%). Patients 178 cases (93.7%) were not report underlying disease and 138 cases (86.8%) had adequate dietary. Most of the patients around 166 cases (87.4%) visited the hospital during fever stage and 159 cases (83.7%) were diagnosed with dengue fever. The caring outcome of patient’s part, the research found that most of patients were not have any complications totally 179 cases (94.2%). Hospital range of stay was averaged at 3.61 days and the average cost around 5,857.68 baths. Patients were mostly discharged from the hospital after getting better. The relationship between associated factors and the caring outcome, the research found that stage of dengue during visiting the hospital and types of dengue fever had a significantly related to the caring outcome (P-value < 0.05)
