The study of the health awareness knowledge of elderly diabetic patients receiving service from Maenon health promoting hospital of Nong Phai Sub district, Muang District, Udonthani

Abstract

This research aims to study the health awareness knowledge and Thailand Ministry of Public Heath’s disease prevention behavior (3อ2ส) of 48 diabetic elderly senior citizens who get service from Maenon health promoting hospital of Nong Phai Sub district, Muang District, Udonthani. The sample of the research was selected using Random Sampling. The research instruments consist of 2 questionnaires which are a 13-item personal information questionnaire and a 7-part health awareness questionnaire. The research found that the health awareness of Thailand Ministry of Public Heath’s disease prevention scored a total mean of 2.30 which is on the medium level. In conclusion, the health awareness knowledge of elderly diabetic patients seems to be medium, but it doesn’t reach a satisfactory level.
