Developing of Malnutrition Procedure among Pre-School Children in Child Development Center Thung Fon sub district, Thung Fon district, Udon Thani province

Abstract

The aimed of participatory action research was to study the nutritional status of preschool children. in the Child Development Center. It was carried out into 3 phases: 1) Situation Assessment Stage 2) Guideline Development Stage with 3 operating cycles and 3) Evaluation Stage. The study participants consisted of 1) parents of 37 pre-school children with malnutrition, 2) 5 teachers of child care centers, 3) 5 health workers. Data were collected by discussion and brainstorming sessions. quantitative data analysis By using frequency, percentage

distribution, qualitative data were used for content analysis, and participants were involved in all processes of analysis. The results showed that:regarding the knowledge of foodstuffs of family meal preparers, the results showed that most of the parents had a moderate level of knowledge about eating (x̄ = 12.50, SD = 2.357). Family caterer's meal It was found that most of the parents had a good attitude (x̄ = 3.12 SD = 0.570). In terms of food management practices, it was found that most of the parents had good food management practices (x̄ = 3.58 SD = 0.283)
