The effectiveness of using magic box innovation to promote fine motor development skills in early childhood

This was a quasi-experimental research, two group pretest –posttest design. The aim was to compare before and after using magic box innovation to promote fine motor development skills in early childhood and to evaluate satisfaction in using magic box innovation to promote fine motor development skills. The purposive samples involved 60 child caregivers. Matched paired was used to separate to experiment and control group. The tools used in the experiment were magic box innovation, guideline to use innovation, the ability to use fine motor development questionnaire, and satisfaction of using magic box innovation questionnaire. Content validity was used by 3 expertise with Cronbach’s alpha at .87. Descriptive statistic and independent samples t-test were used for data analysis.
The result revealed that experiment group had high scored on fine motor development skills significantly (p<0.001) after using magic box innovation. The overall satisfaction of using magic box innovation was at the high level (Mean= 4.30, SD = 0.21). Recommendations, this magic box innovation should be used in day care center and school to promote fine motor development in early childhood for preparedness to go to school.
